Itinerary

Arrive at Paro International Airport and complete immigration formalities. Meet your Bhutanese guide and driver and enroute you can visit:

  • The National Museum (Ta Dzong), a former watchtower showcasing Bhutanese history.
  • Explore Paro Rinpung Dzong, the administrative and religious center of Paro district.
  • Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred monasteries.
  • Evening stroll through Paro town.

Check-in to to your hotel for an overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast, drive to Thimphu (approx. 1 hour) and visit:

  • Visit Buddha Point for panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
  • Explore Changangkha Temple, Takin Preserve, and Sangaygang viewpoint.
  • Visit the Folk Heritage Museum and Textile Museum.
  • After lunch, visit Tashichho Dzong, housing government offices and the monastic body.
  • Visit the School of Arts and Crafts and local vegetable market.
  • Enjoy time watching a traditional archery match and walking around the city.

Overnight stay in Thimphu

After breakfast, drive to Phobjikha Valley (approx. 4–5 hours). Enjoy scenic landscapes enroute. Spend time exploring the natural surroundings of Phobjikha Valley.

After breakfast, visit Gangtey Monastery. Attend the Black-Necked Crane Festival at the monastery courtyard.

  • Enjoy local cultural performances, folk dances, mask dances, and community programs.
  • Learn about conservation efforts through school-led performances.
  • Festival typically runs from morning to late afternoon.

Overnight stay in Phobjikha

After breakfast, drive to Punakha (approx. 3 hours).


On the way, you can:

  • Visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten.
  • Explore Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers.

After breakfast, drive to Paro

On the way you can visit:

  • Chimi Lhakhang, known as the Fertility Temple.
  • Stop at Dochula Pass for panoramic Himalayan views.

Early morning after breakfast, you will go for Tiger's Nest Monastery Trek. Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Lhakhang), one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks.


According to legend, Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) flew to this site on the back of a tigress and meditated there, giving the monastery its name, “Tiger’s Nest”.


The hike takes approximately 5 hours (round trip) up to the viewpoint and offers breathtaking views of the Paro Valley and surrounding mountains.


After hike you can go for a Hot Stone Bath to relax your muscles.


Overnight stay: Paro

After breakfast, check - out from hotel and your guide will transfer you to Paro International Airport.
