Explore Bhutan on a 7-night, 8-day tour starting and ending in Bagdogra. Visit Thimphu, including the Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma Statue, and Tashichho Dzong. Travel through Dochula Pass to Punakha and admire Punakha Dzong. In Paro, explore the National Museum, Paro Rinpung Dzong, and hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery). Finish with a visit to Phuentsholing before returning to Bagdogra.

Itinerary

Arrive at Bagdogra/NJP, our representative will receive you at the airport/railway station. The journey towards Phuentsholing will take around 4 hours. Upon arrival check-in at your hotel.


Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.

After breakfast, meet your Bhutanese guide and driver and complete your Immigration process. Begin your scenic drive from Phuentsholing to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city.


Enroute, enjoy several scenic and cultural stops:

  • Visit one of Bhutan’s first hydroelectric dams, Chhukha.
  • Take in beautiful river valley views along the way.
  • Stop at Wangkha Waterfall, a picturesque roadside waterfall.
  • Visit the Gedu Stupa, a striking and serene Buddhist monument, ideal for photos and a short visit.

Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Discover the highlights of Thimphu:

  • Memorial Chorten: A peaceful stupa dedicated to King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
  • Buddha Dordenma: Marvel at the giant Buddha statue and sweeping valley views.

After breakfast at your hotel in Thimphu, start your drive to Punakha, enjoying scenic stops enroute:

  • Pause at Simtokha for panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.
  • Stop at Dochula Pass, renowned for its 108 chortens (stupas) and breathtaking 360° Himalayan views.
  • Visit Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple), where couples seek blessings for children.
  • Explore Punakha Dzong, the second-largest dzong in Bhutan, celebrated for its magnificent architecture and historical importance.
  • Visit one of the largest suspension bridges in Bhutan.

After breakfast, checkout from your hotel and start your Paro exploration.


Paro sightseeing includes the following:

  • Visit the majestic Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), renowned for its impressive architecture and historical importance as a monastic and administrative centre.
  • Stop by the Paro River to enjoy scenic valley views and see Paro International Airport, one of the world’s most challenging airports.
  • Visit Ta Dzong, originally built as a watchtower and now housing the National Museum of Bhutan.

Overnight stay at Paro.

Early morning after breakfast, you will go for Tiger's Nest Monastery Trek. Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Lhakhang), one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks.


According to legend, Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) flew to this site on the back of a tigress and meditated there, giving the monastery its name, “Tiger’s Nest”. The hike takes approximately 5 hours (round trip) up to the viewpoint and offers breathtaking views of the Paro Valley and surrounding mountains.


After hike you can go for a Hot Stone Bath to relax your muscles.


Overnight stay: Paro

After breakfast, check-out from your hotel. Start your journey from Paro to Phuentsoling.


You can explore:

  • Zangtoh Pelri Lhakhang, a serene and beautifully maintained monastery.
  • Karbandi Monastery, small monastery shows two different region from it's top.
  • Crocodile Breeding Centre, you can watch live crocodiles.

Check-in at your hotel at Phuentsholing for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, your guide will help you with exit formalities and driver will escort you to Bagdogra Airport/NJP for your onward journey.
