What is the best time to visit Shimla and Manali?

The ideal time is from March to June for pleasant weather and adventure activities or from October to February for snowfall and winter sports.


What are the major destinations covered in this package?

Delhi, Shimla, Kufri, Kullu, Manali, Solang Valley, and optional attractions like Atal Tunnel and Sissu Village.


Kindly note: 

  • All sightseeing is around Mall Road. The car will be parked at the Mall Road parking lot, and the driver will drop you at the lift. Take the lift (ticket at your own cost) to reach Mall Road. From there, visit The Mall, Scandal Point, Ridge, Gaiety Theatre, Lakkar Bazaar, and Jaku Temple.  
  • For Kufri, the car will be parked, and all attractions will be accessed via horse/pony ride. Ride, entry fees, and activities are not included in the package and are to be paid directly.

Yes, there are travel distances, but they are manageable.

Snowfall is common in Solang Valley during winter (November to February). Outside this period, snow may still be visible at higher altitudes.


Is Rohtang Pass included in the itinerary?

Rohtang Pass is not included due to government restrictions and its seasonal availability. It can be arranged at an extra cost if open during your travel dates.


Are permits required for Rohtang Pass?

Yes, permits are required and issued on the spot. Entry is subject to government regulations and vehicle limits.


What are the must-buy souvenirs from this trip?

Are entry fees for parks and temples included in the package?

No, entry fees are to be paid directly at the respective attractions.


What is the significance of Hadimba Devi Temple?

It is an ancient temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, built in a unique architectural style and surrounded by serene cedar forests.


What is special about Solang Valley?

Solang Valley is famous for its adventure activities and picturesque landscapes, offering paragliding, zorbing, and skiing (in winter).


What are the additional costs during the trip?

Costs for adventure activities, entry fees, pony rides, lift tickets, and meals not included in the itinerary.


Are there any dress codes for temple visits?

Modest clothing is recommended while visiting temples like Hadimba Devi Temple.


Optional tours with Solang Valley at an extra cost:

  • Atal Tunnel and Sissu Village: You can also visit and drive through the newly built Atal Tunnel, one of the highest tunnels in the world. This tunnel acts as a gateway to the Lahaul and Spiti Valley. Visit Atal Tunnel and later Sissu Village; you can click pictures at Sissu Helipad, which is a tourist attraction these days. This option will be at extra cost.


Afterwards return to the hotel for dinner and a comfortable stay.


Note: TheRohtang Pass opening date is yet to be confirmed by the government. The opening date every year is between the end of April and the second week of May. So advance booking for Rohtang Pass is not possible. NGT (National Green Tribunal) has also limited the number of vehicles visiting Rohtang Pass in a day. Thus, this sightseeing will be subject to a permit obtained on the spot and extra costs (permit + vehicle charges).
