Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our representative. Begin your journey with a drive to Phuentsholing, the charming Bhutanese border town. After processing the necessary permits, continue onward to Thimphu, where you’ll check into your hotel and relax for the evening.

Start your morning with breakfast, followed by a scenic trail walk through Thimphu’s serene surroundings. Highlights of the day include:

  • Memorial Chorten – a spiritual monument built in memory of the third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck
  • Buddha Dordenma – a magnificent 50-meter bronze Buddha housing thousands of smaller statues
  • Textile Museum – showcasing the rich traditions of Bhutanese weaving
  • Tashichho Dzong – a grand fortress and monastery, serving as a government seat and monastic residence
  • Simply Bhutan Museum – an interactive experience of Bhutanese culture and village life
  • Takin Zoo – home to the takin, Bhutan’s national animal
  • Craft Bazaar – a lively market featuring handcrafted textiles, pottery, and wood carvings
  • A peaceful break at the Local Park

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Thimphu.

Take in Bhutan's natural beauty as you drive to the stunning Dochula Pass (3,140m), where, on clear days, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas and explore the 108 sacred chortens.

Continue your journey to Punakha, stopping to visit:

  • Chimi Lhakhang – a famous fertility temple
  • Punakha Dzong – a historic fortress located at the confluence of the Phochu and Mochu rivers
  • Punakha Botanical Garden – featuring diverse Himalayan flora
  • Punakha Suspension Bridge – one of the longest in Bhutan, perfect for scenic views

Optionally, experience river rafting on the Mo Chhu River (at an additional cost). Overnight stay in Punakha.

After breakfast, head to Paro, where you’ll explore some of the region’s cultural treasures:

  • Ta Dzong (National Museum) – a former watchtower now showcasing Bhutanese heritage
  • Paro Rinpung Dzong – a majestic fortress-monastery with rich historical significance
  • Scenic viewpoint overlooking Paro International Airport, one of the world’s most dramatic landing strips
  • A relaxing riverside walk along the Paro Chhu River, offering a glimpse into local life

Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Paro.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the base camp of Taktsang Monastery. Embark on a rewarding hike to this iconic site, famously perched 900 meters above the valley floor on a cliffside.

Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, is one of Bhutan’s most sacred landmarks. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche flew to this site on the back of a tigress. After exploring this spiritual and scenic marvel, journey back to Phuentsholing for your overnight stay.
