Sail across the shimmering waters of the Bada Talaab, one of India’s most celebrated Ramsar Wetland sites, and discover the cultural heartbeat of Bhopal. This unique experience begins with a boat ride from the Yacht Club to the sacred island of Takia Tapu, home to the tomb of Shah Ali Shah. As the boat glides over the lake, participants are surrounded by sweeping views of hills, heritage structures, and the serene expanse of water that has defined Bhopal for centuries.
Upon reaching the island, the walk transforms into a 1.5-hour storytelling baithak — an intimate
discussion around the city’s culture, heritage, and qisse (tales) that have been passed down through generations. From mystic legends to stories of resilience, Ferry Tales is an invitation to experience Bhopal as it was meant to be — poetic, reflective, and timeless.
