This Walk traces the very origins of Bhopal beginning with the legendary Raja Bhoj and his Vision of Bhoj Tal, then moving into the story of Rani Kamlapati and the making of her palace. It unfolds the arrival of Dost Muhammad and how Faiz Muhammad Khan chose this land as the capital site.
As the trail progresses, the spiritual influence of Sufism is explored at the shrine of Chameli Shah, revealing how faith shaped the city’s ethos. The walk concludes at Gauhar Mahal, where the reign of Qudsiya Begum, Bhopal’s first Nawab Begum, comes alive in the backdrop of her palace - a symbol of power, grace, and resilience.
