Bwindi Uncovered Gorillas and Hidden Heritage

2N/3D

Overview

This interactive experience takes you to the old Batwa village and the magnificent Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the centre of Uganda's southwest highlands. Experience wildlife like never before in Bwindi, which is renowned for its dense rainforest and endangered mountain gorillas. From Entebbe, the trip starts with a delightful drive that leads to a cultural encounter with the Batwa people, one of Africa's oldest communities living in forests.

The next best thing on this trip is to go gorilla trekking, where you will look for these gentle giants by venturing far into the foggy jungle. This brief journey offers remarkable experiences in the outdoors, surrounded by an unspoiled environment and a rich legacy.

Itinerary

Our team will greet and pick you up at Entebbe International Airport in the morning when you arrive in Uganda. They will be carrying a name board with your name on it, and they will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Your guide will provide an overview of some of the incredible activities in store for you.

In the evening, enjoy a community walk to visit the Indigenous Batwa people, experience their traditional dances and drama.

After breakfast, take your trekking spirit and a packed lunch to the park headquarters with your guide, where you will receive training on the dos and don'ts to follow when seeing the gorillas.

After that, we will head for gorilla trekking through the misty rainforest. Depending on where the gentle giants are, trekking might take two hours or as long as six hours. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets.

We're confident you'll love hiking far into the jungle to locate the mountain gorillas since it's truly an honour to spend time with them.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast to start the day, you will head back to the mainland and get ready to drive to Entebbe Airport in time for your planned flight home.

You will have a stopover at the Equator in Masaka and have your lunch there. See how our globe is divided into two equal hemispheres by this imaginary line. You may get snacks, souvenirs, and snap pictures here.

For your planned trip home, you will continue to Entebbe International Airport.

It's time to say farewell and reflect on an incredible safari after sharing so many beautiful moments.
