Itinerary

  • On arrival in Uganda, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide at Entebbe International Airport and transferred to Kibale National Park.

  • After a scenic drive through Mityana and Kyejonjo, arrive in Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro Kingdom in the Rwenzori Mountains, with lunch served on the way to your resort.

  • In the evening, explore Bigodi Swamp, a community-managed wetland known for birds, monkeys (Uganda mangabey, red colobus), and occasional forest elephants with expert local guides.

  • Visit Kibale National Park, famed as Africa’s primate capital, with over two dozen crater lakes, lush rainforest, and one of the best places to see wild chimpanzees.

  • After breakfast, you will head to the chimpanzee trek briefing and enjoy a 2-3 hour guided hike through Kibale National Park to observe wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

  • Post the trek, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a vast wildlife reserve framed by the Rwenzori Mountains and the Rift Valley.

  • There will be a scenic boat safari along the Kazinga Channel to spot hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and numerous bird species waiting for you.

  • Explore the Kasenyi and Ishasha Plains, home to Uganda kob and tree-climbing lions, followed by an evening game drive.

  • We will start our day with an early breakfast before heading to the Ishasha region in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its iconic tree-climbing lions in the Kasenyi Plains.

  • Keep your eyes looking for elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife during an adventurous game drive through this scenic and less-travelled area.

  • We will now continue our journey towards the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a lush rainforest sanctuary and the renowned habitat of the endangered mountain gorillas.

  • Later on that day, immerse yourself in the culture of the Batwa community, where you'll experience their centuries-old traditions through music, dance, and storytelling.

  • After your breakfast, we will head to the park headquarters with your guide and packed lunch for a detailed briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines and safety tips.

  • We will begin your trek into the misty rainforest in search of mountain gorillas - an adventure that can last between two to six hours, depending on their location.

  • Witnessing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is a truly humbling and unforgettable wildlife encounter, often considered the highlight of any African safari.

  • After a hearty breakfast, begin your journey back to the mainland and prepare for the drive to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight home.

  • Stop at the Equator in Masaka, where you’ll enjoy lunch, take memorable photos, and shop for local snacks and souvenirs.

  • Witness the iconic line that separates the Northern and Southern Hemispheres—a fun and symbolic highlight of your trip.

  • Wear comfortable hiking boots, carry a rain jacket, insect repellent, and a non-flash camera.
  • Gorilla permits are limited so booking several months in advance is essential.
  • Maintain a respectful distance from wildlife; never touch or feed the animals.
  • The Batwa and local communities value cultural respect so please ask before taking photos.
  • Mobile network and Wi-Fi are limited in national parks so be prepare to disconnect.
  • Always follow your ranger’s instructions during treks and game drives.
