This 4-day immersive journey at Rann Riders blends wildlife exploration, heritage discovery, and cultural immersion in the striking landscapes of the Little Rann of Kutch. Guests begin with a jeep safari across the salt flats, spotting the iconic Asiatic wild ass and diverse birdlife. The itinerary includes visits to the Modhera Sun Temple, Patan’s heritage sites like Rani ki Vav and Patan Patola Museum, and the Becharaji Temple, showcasing Gujarat’s rich architectural and cultural heritage.


Cultural encounters continue with guided visits to Rabari and Mir villages, exploring traditional arts, crafts, and local stories. The experience concludes with a morning nature walk through woodlands, wetlands, and farmland ecosystems around Rann Riders, offering a deep connection to the desert’s wildlife, people, and landscapes.

Itinerary

Arrive at Rann Riders by lunch time for a welcome briefing and check-in.

In the afternoon, embark on a three-hour jeep safari across the striking salt flats of the Little Rann of Kutch Sanctuary, home to the rare Asiatic wild ass, graceful antelopes, and a fascinating diversity of birdlife.

Experience the raw beauty of this vast desert ecosystem as the sun sets over the saline horizon. Return to the resort by evening and enjoy a delicious dinner under the tranquil desert sky.

After breakfast, set out on a full-day guided excursion exploring Gujarat’s heritage landmarks.


Visit the Modhera Sun Temple, an architectural gem from the Solanki era, before continuing to Patan to explore Rani ki Vav, Sahastralinga Talav, and the Patan Patola Museum. Enjoy a picnic-style lunch prepared by Rann Riders at Patan.


In the afternoon, visit the Becharaji Temple before returning to the resort. Depending on interest, a visit to the nearby Mir and Rabari villages can be included to experience local crafts and village life. (Approx. 180 km). Conclude the day with dinner and overnight stay at Rann Riders.

This morning, begin your day with a guided visit to the Jain temple complex and markets at Sankeshwar, offering a glimpse into the spiritual and commercial rhythms of local life. Return to Rann Riders for lunch and a relaxed afternoon.


Later, head out on an afternoon jeep excursion to nearby villages at the edge of the Rann. Meet the Rabari and Mir communities, known for their intricate embroidery, beadwork, and craftsmanship. If you’re lucky, you may even share chai and stories with one of the Rann’s most fascinating residents - gaining rare insight into the history, wilderness, and culture of this desert world.

Return to the resort by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

On your final morning, set out on a guided nature walk (1.5 - 2 hours) through the woodlands, wetlands, and farmlands surrounding Rann Riders. Observe the smaller details of this diverse ecosystem - from native flora to resident and migratory birds.


Return to the resort for breakfast and check-out, carrying with you the tranquil rhythm and timeless charm of the Rann.
