Begin your adventure in Sham Valley, then traverse through Batalik to reach Kargil, visiting the culturally rich villages of Dha-Hanu and the historic battlegrounds of Drass and Hundarman.


Discover ancient monasteries at Lamayuru and Alchi before heading back to Leh, where you’ll experience the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and the Hall of Fame museum.


Cross the mighty Khardung La to reach the majestic Nubra Valley, where you’ll enjoy a camel safari in the dunes of Hunder and explore the border villages of Turtuk and Thang. Journey to the breathtaking Pangong Lake, Hanle’s high-altitude observatory, and the serene Tsomoriri Lake via scenic mountain passes like Mahe Bridge and Taglang La.


End your trip with a cultural immersion in Leh, witnessing a traditional Ladakhi polo match and folk show. This itinerary captures Ladakh’s top destinations, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and local culture.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Leh airport, our representative will meet and greet you. You will be transferred to Sham Valley, passing through picturesque villages along the Indus River. Take the day to acclimatize to the change in altitude. Overnight stay in Sham.

After breakfast, depart for Padum, en route visiting the moon-like landscape and Lamayuru Monastery. Arrive in Kargil by evening. Overnight stay in Kargil.

Explore Zangla Palace, Stongdey, Karsha and Sani Gompa. Overnight stay in Padum.

After breakfast, return to Kargil, reaching by the afternoon. Overnight stay in Kargil

Morning after breakfast, leave for Leh, visiting Dha Village en route. Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla, the highest motorable road. Check in and post lunch, enjoy a camel safari at the Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Drive to Thang, the last village on the India-Pakistan border, captured by the Indian Army in 1971. En route, visit Turtuk and Tyakshi. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

After breakfast, drive to Siachen Base Camp, visiting Hot Spring at Panamik, Yarabtso, and Samstanling Monastery. Overnight stay in Sumur.

Leave for Pangong Lake, arriving at the camp in 6-7 hours. Enjoy free time at leisure, witnessing the color-changing lake and sunset. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.

In the morning, drive to Tsomoriri Lake via Chushul and Tsaga la. Arrive at Korzok village by evening. Overnight stay in Korzok.

After breakfast, leave for Leh by a different route via Puga (Sulphur Mine), Polakongka pass, Tsokar Lake, and Taklang La Pass. Arrival in Leh by late evening. Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, explore Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and Leh Market. After visit drive to Thiksey, enjoy a traditional Ladakhi cuisine. There after Continue the journey to Chuchot to witness an exhilarating traditional Ladakhi polo match and cultural show, showcasing the region's unique sporting heritage. Overnight stay in Leh.

Early morning transfer to Leh airport for your flight back to your destination. The journey concludes.

Good to know

Dos:

  • Rest for at least 24 hours upon arrival to acclimatize to the high altitude.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water or fluids (avoid alcohol).
  • Cooperate with locals, porters, guides, and drivers.
  • Respect the local culture and environment.
  • Avoid using polythene; Ladakh is a polythene-free zone.
  • Dispose of all waste properly.
  • Carry an identification card (passport, voter ID, driving license, etc.) along with a photocopy.

Don’ts:

  • Do not wear denim; it is not suitable for trekking.
  • Do not overpack with snacks, colas, alcohol, or personal food.
  • Do not bring any trekking equipment such as tents; it will be provided.
  • Do not expect guaranteed smooth transit as weather and road conditions may affect travel.

Preventing Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)

  • AMS can affect anyone at altitudes above 10,000 feet
  • Leh is situated at 11,500 feet above sea level
  • Common symptoms include headache, disturbed sleep, nausea, breathlessness, fatigue, and lack of appetite
  • Rest for the first 24 hours after arrival
  • Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol or smoking
  • Keep warm and avoid physical exertion on the first day
  • Take Diamox if recommended by a medical professional
