Itinerary

  • Arrive at Dimapur and depart for Kisama.
  • Check in to the campsite and freshen up.
  • Overnight stay at Kisama.

  • Post breakfast you’ll be going for a guided village tour to Khonoma, known as Asia’s first green village.
  • Learn about its unique eco-friendly practices.
  • Learn about why it is called a ‘Warrior Village’.
  • Visit an actual Morung in Khonoma.
  • Later head to Dzuleke, a remote village with mesmerizing views.
  • Enjoy peaceful nature walk.
  • Overnight stay at Kisama.

  • Today you'll ascend towards Dzukou Valley.
  • Post breakfast trek marshal will give briefing.
  • After briefing, pick-up truck will take you to the starting point.
  • Spend the night in the laps of Nature at Dzukou Valley.

  • After a good breakfast, take a small backpack with some snacks and water and head down to the heart of the valley.
  • Crossing the river, head up to the top and relax watching the rolling hills of the valley.
  • Come back quickly to your campsite and bid goodbye to the valley with a promise to come again.
  • Trek down to Zakhama. After reaching the campsite, have your lunch and take some rest.
  • Later you will be exploring more of Hornbill festival.
  • Overnight stay at Kisama.

  • Soaking in the last moments of Nagaland’s charm.
  • Take in the fresh mountain air and reflect on the unforgettable experiences from the Hornbill Festival and village explorations.
  • Begin your scenic drive back to Dimapur. As you journey through the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes, relish the memories made over the past week.

What type of properties are we staying at?

We'll be staying at camps.


Room Sharing

Rooms are shared on twin sharing basis. In case you are a solo traveller, you will be paired up with another solo traveller of the same gender.


How much money to carry?

While most of your expenses are taken care in the trip cost, an additional Rs. 1,000 per day would be more than enough for all your expenses.


How do I get the ILP?

Relax! We got your back for that. We will get your Inner Line Permit made and is included in the package.


Are there vegetarian food options at Nagaland and at Hornbill Festival?

Vegetarians do not need to worry. While a lot of the local delicacies are meat-based, with the influx of tourism there are multiple vegetarian options at all places. You must also try out the seasonal fruits and vegetables in the region.


What are the events at the Hornbill Festival?

The exact schedule of the festival is usually released by the third week of November. You can expect to see a lot of music, local food, local alcohol, and most importantly the hospitality of the Nagas while at the festival.
