Our 7-day safari in Uganda provides a spectacular journey through some of the most impressive national parks in Africa. Take a thrilling boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, experience a variety of habitats on exciting wildlife drives, and see the majestic Murchison Falls. Discover the wonders of chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park and encountering magnificent mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The safari also includes a visit to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi and a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Take part in significant cultural exchanges, birdwatching, and guided walks. This customized trip guarantees a unique experience that lets you see Uganda's diverse cultures and abundant wildlife.
Upon arrival in Uganda, our guide will greet you at Entebbe Airport with your name board, then transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. On our way, we will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting rhino tracking.
Afterwards, we will be heading straight to Murchison Falls, where you'll witness the incredible "Top of the Falls." This thrilling sight brings you close to the powerful whitewater squeezing through a narrow gorge, often creating beautiful rainbows from the mist.
Following breakfast, you are scheduled for a morning game drive at 6:00AM. This game drive also includes sightseeing and bird viewing throughout the wide savannah, scattered forest, and riverine vegetation near the Albert and Nile deltas.
You will return to your accommodation for lunch following your game drive. Then you'll proceed take a three-hour boat ride on the Nile in the afternoon, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This boat cruise offers an amazing view of the falls from the bottom angle. Along the river's banks, you may spot antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic birds. You will then return for a game drive in the evening.
Following breakfast, you will leave Murchison Falls National Park and travel southwest via the vast Western Rift Valley's Albertine Escarpment. We will reach the vibrant and scenic town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, by driving through Hoima and Kyejonjo region. It is located in the shadow of the legendary "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori. You will travel to Bigodi Swamp in the evening. Monkeys, birds, and maybe forest elephants abound in this lovely section of the rainforest.
After an early breakfast and a briefing on chimpanzee trekking, you'll embark on a 2-3 hour trek in Kibale National Park to locate these fascinating primates. Following the trek, enjoy lunch before transferring to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Upon arrival, a captivating boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel awaits. This channel, connecting Lake Edward and Lake George, offers incredible wildlife viewing, including numerous hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. Conclude your day with an evening game drive, aiming to spot lions and other magnificent creatures like elephants, buffalo, and leopards as temperatures cool.
Following an early breakfast, you will travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park's Ishasha area, which is well-known for its unusual tree-climbing lions. To see these amazing cats relaxing under the big fig trees, you'll go on a game drive.
After that, you'll be taken to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a hotspot for biodiversity that is home to mountain gorillas and is home to over 346 bird species and 120 animal species. Take a part in a cultural community walk when you first arrive in Bwindi to get to know the Batwa people, who have lived in this forest for 500,000 years, and witness their traditional plays and dances.
Following a gorilla trekking briefing, you will set out on an amazing two to six-hour walk through the foggy jungle in search of the gentle giants. Don't forget to pack a rain jacket, water, sturdy shoes, and a non-flash camera. After your journey, head back to the lodge for lunch and a revitalizing shower.
Then we will transfer to the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi in the evening, which is renowned for its 29 islands and verdant, terraced hills. This stunning lake, which is among the deepest in Africa, is incredibly safe for swimming and provides a tranquil conclusion to your exciting day.
After having a delightful breakfast, you will be driven to the airport. On your way there, you will have a stopover at the equator in Masaka. See where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Snacks, souvenirs and photographs can be taken here. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
